Description:
Predictions of energy respectively electricity demands of buildings in a smart grid require highly accurate knowledge on dynamic building performance. Related know-how, tools and networks will be developed as part of the active Austrian cooperation at IEA ECBCS Annex 58 with the objective to characterize the energy and thermal performance of real buildings based on full-scale dynamic measurements. Specifically, our contribution is focused on
1. Use of building automation and smart meters in on-site measurements, and
2. Application of dynamic building models in smart grid optimization.
