Markus Jung received the Dipl.-Ing. degree in computer science from the Vienna University of Technology, Austria in 2010. Since 2011, he is with the Institute of Computer Aided Automation where he is working as research assistant and pursuing a PhD. Markus Jung is working on research projects in the area of Smart Grids and Internet of Things and focuses on scalable and secure ICT infrastructures with special interests in service-oriented architectures and cloud computing.

Industry Experience
Markus Jung worked as software developer for the Xion IT Systems AG, as project manager for the Volksbank AG and as software developer for the Santander Consumer Bank (formerly GE Money Bank) and as software architect and product manager for the TeleTrader Software AG. Within his work in the area of IT and software development for the banking and financial sector he passed the certification as Sun Certified Java Programmer and Sun Certified Java Developer, furthermore he passed the stock trader exam for spot market of the Vienna Stock Exchange.
